If paleo isn’t working for you, then You’re Not Working For Paleo

For those of you who is in the midst of their first palo challenge, there are going to be many “aha!” moments.  You probably don’t even notice the many infrequent (I said that on purpose) occasions when you catch yourself eating something you can’t right now but normally would have eaten.  I LOVED when Jenny said “mindlessly” consuming because a lot of you on a regular day to day basis mindlessly eat things because it’s part of routine, boredom, or you’re just following the leader.

This challenge is about YOU being a leader.

Now let’s change gears.  When the challenge is over, your’e most likely going to fall back into the follower stage (eating the free bread that comes with dinner because everyone else is, too ….and, who can resist free bread?!) SO don’t take this time for granted.  If you want to make these 30 days WORTH IT, then you need to get your act in gear!  You need to feel FULL by eating enough food!  You need to eat meat to fit the palm of your hand, 2-3 times MORE VEGGIES per meal than what you’re currently eating, and a little fat on the side. Take a look at the portion sizes from Saturday’s post and it will give you perspective.  I don’t want to hear that paleo isn’t working for you; chances are YOU ARE NOT WORKING FOR PALEO.

Before I go, You’re going to feel like shit this week.  You’re a foodaholic that’s going to have withdrawals just like an alcoholic.  If you’ve overcome this stage already, then look forward to some better days.
