“The bottom line is that people should consume less of all added sugars”

I found this great article online discussing Heinz and the controversy over using High Fructose Corn Syrup versus other “healthier” sugars.  Their “Simply Heinz” line that used “healthier” sugar didn’t get as much praise as their original recipe. If they know one product is healthier than another product, then why not change the recipe for good?  Money and your addiction to it.

You have to be smart enough to understand that companies don’t care about you; they care about money.  They can’t care about you because they will be out of business.   At the bottom of their hearts where it’s deep and cold, they know they are making people sick and overweight with all the studies on sugar, salt, and fake processed ingredients.   You don’t think the’ll take the high road, do you? No! They Scheme even more!  And when I say “They,” I don’t mean Heinz, I’m talking about McDonalds, PepsiCo, and all their cousins.

Did you know, the Corn Refiner’s association wanted to request the food label to say “corn sugar” instead of high fructose corn syrup.  SCHEMY! COME ON!   To solve their dilemmas, everyone gets to choose what they want via their “lifestyle line” of ketchups that include no salt added, spicy, lower sugar, organic, etc. That’s a nice thought and quite ketchy (get it?lol), but did you think about stuff that’s in a product and they’re not made to tell you it’s in there?

They can add VERY LITTLE schemy ingredients and get away with it.  When you go to the grocery store, read all the ingredients on the back (not the catchy tag lines written in pretty cursive on the front of the bag  like “lite,” “simple,” “all natural,””0 trans fat,” “no calories”).   As Scott said at our seminar, the more man plays with it, the more it can’t be good for you.
