Sometimes you’re looking for something simple, but new. Often when I’m done trying something new, I liked the original better. For example, I always put ground beef in my spaghetti sauce. This time I looked up turkey meatballs after purchasing Fischer Farms ground turkey at Bloomingfoods.
I googled ground turkey recipes. Found something I could play with at allrecipes.com
Crisco® No-Stick Olive Oil Spray
- 1 pound ground turkey
1 cup loosely packed fresh spinach, finely chopped( I didn’t have spinach) 3 green onions, minced(I only had white onions so I cut one in half and diced it)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
2 tablespoons Dickinson’s® Tomato Ketchup(I didn’t have it, nor did I make it from scratch; but I might do that later on)
- 1 teaspoon salt (I didn’t measure it, but I did a couple spins with the whole salt grinder)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs(I didn’t replace it with anything) 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese(I didn’t replace it with anything)
I used my hands to mix the meat. I might have also added a couple cloves of garlic, but I can’t remember. Once it’s mixed, ball it and put it on a greased pan/aluminum foil. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
