Get on the right side of the statistic

This is an article from the Rushville Republican.  I was reading it over coffee,after my breakfast full of protein (and when I say protein, I mean turkey and eggs including their nutrient rich yolks – not a breakfast shake), carbs (and when I say carbs, I mean vegetables  – not a whole wheat muffin), and fat (and when I say fat, I mean olive oil).  I am not “slashing my risk,” but I am preventing cancer by maintaining my diet with MEAT, VEGETABLES, NUTS, SEEDS, FRUIT, HERBS, SPICES.

Does this move you in any way?

It moves me. Someone really close to me has some colon problems.  So, instead of having the routine colon check once out of 10 years (covered by insurance), she’s at risk for colon cancer and now has to pay to have frequent colon checks.  Her doctor tells her not to eat things with little seeds in it because they can get lodged and infect her colon. So no stawberries, blueberries, blackberries, tomato innards – these are some of the best fruits that have vitamins and antioxidants to help keep her insides clean and boost her immune system.

People know they need to exercise.  People know they need to eat right

So, your doctor tells you to start working out and eating right.  First, get moving.  No excuses.  Run in place during  American Idol commercials. Whatever. You need to just move. Next, WHAT IS EATING RIGHT? With all those 100 calorie packs, diet sodas, cheesecake flavored yogurts, whole grain anything, oatmeal (ugh! It’s not healthy!) and lean frozen dinners (double ugh!) .  Are you seeing results with this stuff?  Are you seeing results with this stuff after 1 year?  Did you know you’ll gain 5-10 pounds within the next 5 years?  D you still fluctuate pant sizes seasonally?

Big corporations are making money off your addictions by making things mini or baked.  Talk shows are enabling this behavior by telling you you are OK the way you are.  The way you are is at risk for CANCER.

Do you feel focused throughout the entire day, or are you thinking foggy?
Do you wake up refreshed, or are you dragging?
Do you handle stress well, or do you snap at your co-workers, husband/wife, or kids?
Do you have energy to do a workout, or are you just worn out?
Do you feel spiritually happy, or depressed?
Do you have a healthy immune system, or fear common cold, flu, headaches,etc?
Do you have glowing skin or dull, oily complexion?
Do you feel good in front of the mirror, or do you avoid it?
Do you sleep well and throughout the night, or do you wake up often or sleep only a few hours?
Do you crave vegetables (and feel satisfied), or do you crave sweets (and then feel regret)?
Do you feel satisfied after a meal, or do you have acid reflux, indegestion, or heartburn?
Do you have a regular potty schedule, or do you have trouble going to the potty?
